Inventor Jim Chalmers shows that it is a lot less bother on a HOVERBIKE.
The mechanic and pal Peter Whiffin, 41, have developed a one-man craft that can fly over roads, ice and water.
Powered by a petrol engine the £6,000 Airtec 360 can reach speeds of 30mph while floating just above the ground.
Jim, 37, of Camberley, Surrey, reckons it will take Britain by storm.
He said yesterday: It works on the same principle as the hovercraft.
There is no trickery you pull the throttle, it picks up and off you go.
